The Gatsby Orchestra, a group of local musicians, will next month host the inaugural Roaring 20s Festival at multiple venues throughout Charleston. The festival will feature a variety of events from March 2nd to 5th. The festival will be a celebration of the 1920s and 30s – including the birth of both “The Charleston” song and the dance. The musicians will be teaching people to dance “The Charleston” to “The Charleston” in Charleston during a public dance gathering in Marion Square on Saturday, March 4th.
